NEW DELHI — The national capital is officially set as world leaders gather at Bharat Mandapam for the 18th BRICS Summit, hosted under India’s chairship on September 12–13, 2026. Marking two decades since the group’s founding, this year’s landmark summit brings together the heads of state of an expanded 11-member bloc representing over 40% of the world’s population.
Operating under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability,” the summit serves as a crucial turning point for economic cooperation, cross-border payments, supply chain diversification, and Global South representation.
