Indian National Army

The Indian National Army (INA), also known as the Azad Hind Fauj, was a historic military force formed during India’s freedom struggle with the aim of securing independence from British colonial rule. Led by the visionary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the INA inspired millions with its courage, nationalism, and call for unity under the slogan “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom.” Comprising Indian soldiers, volunteers, and overseas Indians, the army fought alongside Axis powers during World War II, symbolizing the relentless spirit of India’s quest for self-determination. Though militarily constrained, the INA left a lasting impact on India’s independence movement, igniting patriotic fervor and influencing the final stages of British withdrawal.
